A genre as rich as it is diverse, postcolonial cinema expresses the voices of artists, cultures, and countries marked by colonialism past and present. It remembers the experiences of colonization, celebrates the anti-colonial fights for independence, and participates in the ongoing struggles for freedom and justice around the world. Spanning 50 years of independent filmmaking, this series consists of three gems of postcolonial cinema from, respectively, Chile, Senegal, and Columbia.
